Clinical Boundaries and Service Scope
The Rock Therapy provides nurse-led mental health support for individuals and organisations. All services are delivered within a defined mental health nursing scope of practice.
Core Scope of Practice
- Assessment of mental health status, including risk, distress, and functional impact
- Nurse-led psychological interventions informed by CBT, DBT, and CAT frameworks
- Risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis support within the workplace or private setting
- Care coordination with GPs, psychiatrists, occupational health, and other health professionals
- Structured support for staff and managers, including consultation and guidance
- Delivery of bespoke training on recognising and responding to mental health risk
Boundaries and Limitations
- Does not provide psychiatric diagnosis, medication prescribing, or medical treatment
- Does not replace statutory mental health services or emergency crisis services
- Does not provide long-term psychotherapy outside of agreed, structured interventions
- Works within clear professional and organisational boundaries at all times
Governance & Compliance
- Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Maintains professional indemnity insurance for private practice
- Regular clinical supervision to support safe practice
- Adheres to GDPR and confidentiality requirements
- Follows clear safeguarding and escalation procedures
